I put together this guide after seeing so many people become disheartened at the cost to construct. Being over-budget is the single most common upset we see. There are common roadblocks that can be navigated if you know costs early enough.
A well-designed garden is a sanctuary for family and friends to entertain and create moments of joy to remember. Nothing crushes that dream more than a cost-prohibitive design that will never be used to build from.
The most common question I hear is, “what do you think my landscaping might cost” – it is said with a nervousness as they wait for a reply.
As a ‘canny’ Scotsman I believe that it is the designers’ responsibility to navigate the budget with the client and together, a design can be created that will delight.
