The contemporary design of this garden took advantage of the sea views and adjacent golf course.
Designing a simple coastal garden came with the challenge of providing access to the pool without having to travel down a flight of stairs from the main floor.
The owner selected a shipping container pool for easy installation, with craning the pool over a three-storey house presenting another challenge!
The result is a simple coastal garden that gives the whole family the lifestyle so many people associate with living on the Mornington Peninsula.
The landscape architect’s role is to listen to the client, understand the surroundings and identify opportunities for the space, and this project delivered.
Designing Gardens for the Mornington Peninsula
Coastal properties bring their own opportunities and challenges, from making the most of surrounding views to designing around the home, site levels and the way the family wants to use the garden. Our approach to landscape design on the Mornington Peninsula considers these elements together to create a garden that belongs with both the home and its setting.
